the 5:15 class was fun today with the rivalry, i mean camaraderie, between josh smyth and shane! and congrats to alex d for getting his first ever rope climb (and then 3 more) in today's wod.

since alex d was the only one at 6a today, i worked out with him. yay! my back is still not healed, but i'm slowly getting better. i modified the movements granny style to be able to work out. it was so nice to get my heart rate up and sweat a little. it's hard not to get disheartened in thinking about just 2.5 weeks ago i was snatching 125 and blowing through metcons. but that' s ok. God has ordered me to dial it back a little. :)

row - subbed 35# high pulls (did not do the sumo deadlift part and had to put the kb on a box so i didn't bend over to pick it up)
du - subbed singles (which are awful, btw)

burpees - subbed squats w/ hands on rack for back stabilization

you guys don't know how bad i want to do a burpee. i know that sounds crazy, but it's the truth. remind me i said that when i'm all better! :)
