RX 19.41PR Beat my August time of 21.21
16:50 green & gray band C2B, regular push ups
Beat my August time by 50 seconds and scaled up!
I didn't remember doing this WOD before but that's because it was so scaled I didn't recognize it!!
from 8/2/12:"15:07 Jumping C2B's and regular push ups".
Today 11/1/12
Ring push ups and regular pullups!
25:57 I think. only 4 rounds though.
Woo Freakin' hoo on the upscale!
Coach, for those of us still learning the ctb pullup, will we do regular pullups or ctb pullups with a band?
Come on BTB.....I believe in you! You can do these CTB-have an extra helping of bacon for breakfast and some roast beef (wrapped with bacon) for lunch and maybe a ham sandwich for a late afternoon snack and you'll have the protein! I know you can do this.
Lol Bill! Thanks for the protein encouragement!! :) Since we don't get to wod together often, I will let ya in on the fact that it takes me a little bit longer than the rest of you beasts to catch on to the technique of these lovely CrossFit moves! :)
Great job everbody!!! Scaling up is the greatest feeling eva!
Brooke - you are soooooo close to the technique - you've got this:)
Skinniest purple band, i think? (i reserve the right to retract my suggestion at any time. I will talk to puma on how to include a disclosure to all blog comments.) Drew might suggest something else.
22:33 scaled to regular push ups and jumping pull ups. I'm 99.9% sure I did six rounds though. I've learned over the last 3 weeks that I can't count and crossfit at the same time ;)
Kista,
Embrace the chalk. Chalk is your friend.
You will find Kista that that particular state of mind during a WOD is a common occurance among Carport Junkies. As one fellow on another blog put it...not only do you lose count but you forget what day of the week it is, what year it is, do you really have any children and why are you doing crossfit in the first place?
It must be alot like having a baby.....(not from personal experience but observation only) physiologically a nearly unbearable experience but once it's over the Mother (notice caps out highest regard and utmost respect) often times is making plans for #2 (or 3 or 4 etc).
I would liken crossfitting to a kidney stone but there is no comparison there because if given the choice I would not ask for another;0)
Ive had several kidney stones, one baby, and lots of miss-counted rounds, reps, jumps, pushups, squats...and is that 95 on the bar or 105. I'll take the baby minus the labor plus the cf pr minus thework and no kidney stone please.
P.s. Snatch pr today of 130 yay!
Way to go Cori! You're dangerously close to a body weight snatch - which actually I thought you already had.
I like Cori's kinda math! I was able to follow the entire equation!
Hehe.. Snatch., hehe..giggle..
Ha! I'd do 50 rounds of that over a kidney stone any day!
Stacey- I will take your advice with the chalk, I hadn't thought of that.
I busted kidney stones for a living for a good number of years!
Fellow carporters -
While this is probably not the best place to post, some of you have asked for John's address -- here it is:
Major John R. Lehman II
RCT-7, HQ Co (S-3)
Unit 41500
FPO AP 96427-1500
Some tips:
Letters and packages should be sent through the U.S. Post Office. The easiest way to ship a package is to use a flat rate priority box (if it fits, it ships regardless of weight or destination. They range from $5-$14 to ship depending on the selected box size).
All packages require a long customs form (ask for them at the window). Or just check with me as I have a stock pile of them in my car.
This is a US address. Do not waste money on insurance or delivery confirmation as the Post Office only insurs delivery to the FPO and most of the issues arise in transport from the FPO to actual international military base destination.
Do not ship anything perishable, no liquids or anything that will melt (i.e. chocolate candy). It may take as long as 4 weeks for packages to arrive.
John has requested candy, beef jerky and Starbucks Via (or some other similar, instant single serve coffee). Also, previously read magazines that are headed for the recycle bin. I'll update as I receive additional requests.
I ship at least a package a week so if anyone wants to send a card, note or junk food, etc -- you are welcome to add it to any box I am sending. Cards/ letters shipped by themselves run a high risk of getting lost in shuffle.
Thank you to everyone for your support and checking on me! It is much appreciated by both John and I.
And for those who are curious, John is stationed at Camp Leatherneck in Helmand Province, Afghanistan which is a giant Marine Corps base in the middle of the desert! Prince Harry is stationed at the adjoining Camp Bastion.
18:14 pr by a little :)
Jumping Pullups, Ring pushups mostly on knees, 19:45
Regular pushups and band-assist pull-ups. Pretty happy with my time since I am only about a week into band-assist pull-ups.
