20:46 pack - 1.5 pood This was a killer for me. I had to walk a significant portion of the last two 400s out of respect for my fellow A.M.ers (so they wouldn't have to step over me laid out in the street on their next round). This WOD needs a name and I have just the one... URASMUS B. DRAGUN.
Excellent time Cori! My hat is off to you on a killer WOD, also to Sheena and Stacey this morning-they never even slowed up - from the time the 10 second countdown ended until I finished I never saw them they were so far ahead. Way to go ladies! We needed those Annas today. Unfortunately Cori, at this point I cannot say it was fun-but by time 5:30pm rolls around and I come to watch the P.M.ers I will then be able to say it was fun. I hope Brooke isn't reading this...
Bill - Jonathan actually asked last night why this WOD did not have a name. I think your name is perfect. I will be one of the 5:30's dragging today and I am so excited that I get to think about this all day long.
Bill, You obviously listen to Car Talk as much as I do! Maybe Carport also needs to borrow Car Talk's Statistician, Marge N. Oferror. Thanks go out to Cori and Sheena for noting the time I Actually Completed the WOD(18:05) vs. the time I saw after running the extra 400m. Used a pretty light weight-13lbs. Not sure what fraction of a Pood that is, but in Russian "deciyet tree funt" would be 13 lbs. Roll the R really well and you too can work for the CIA, er uh KGB. I actually enjoyed this WOD.
alrighty folks....i've just registered for the talladega half on 9/16! happy 38th birthday to me! :) dave registered last week. i think sheena is doing it. so is schamu. anyone else? anyone, anyone, beuller?
dave and i are going to train with crossfit, speedwork on wednesdays and one long run on saturday or sunday. we did our speedwork last night (3x1000m with 2 min rest in between), and our long run this weekend is 6 miles.
I am running it Cori. I am actually doing it w my best friend & its her 1st so we will be @ her pace. I did 5 miles Tues am and 4 this am and have a 5k Sat nite. Woohoo running!!!! Ready to get back in the gym next wk after giving my tweaked shoulder some r&r.
6:30pm 70 du in a row. I planned to do tabata du but my foot hurt so I scratched that. Just practiced rope climbs instead, focusing on getting to the top in only 3 pulls. I also played around with different foot holds and tried to find the most efficient way to come down.
