Yikes! What would the sub for the mile be? I have a feeling it would be something obscene like 10,000 meters. Is there a time limit? Rachel- bruises are certain!
to clarify what coach drew is saying is however far you get in 30 minutes is the time limit. so if you do your run in 10 min, row in 10 min and only get 77 burpees in the remaining 10 min (for a total of 30 min), then that is your "score," if you will. or, just get it all done in 30 minutes, and you will have a carport tri time! OR, do the pack scale, which is half the work.
and yes, sub for running a mile is walking a mile really fast.
the ducks were sleepy this morning....sorry bill.
great job to the anna's and to bill for getting through this wod! :)
I am going all out and see if I can do them all. I think the burpees are going to do me in, but I am not going to think about it!! Hopefully the practice I did on the rower last week will do me right and I can get it all done in under 30!
there will be wave starts tonight...fastest people going first. it's not supposed to be an option to row first, so don't count on it. it depends on how the chips fall.
in an ideal world, no one would row first. it's like going to a triathlon and asking if you can bike first when everyone else swims first. problem is, with the carport tri, we only have 2 rowers. so it's part luck, part coaches mood, and part who shows up.
i thought you jumped on the rower way too quickly this morning, bill. your enthusiasm almost gave you away. i gave in immediately when you suggested you row first...i must be getting soft or something. i didn't get much sleep last night and wasn't on my toes like i shoulda been for your gaming shannanigans. next time, you may not be so lucky. mwwwaaahahahahahhaa
I figured that we would be going in waves. I don't care which happens first honestly. The row's gonna hurt and the burpees are going to hurt, no matter when I do them. I hope luck be a lady tonight!:)
I ran a half marathon with Highland's College this morning at Oak Mtn. What a beautiful day for a run! 2:20, 13.3 miles I finished the 11th mile at 1:50:00 which is a PR! a couple of weeks ago I ran 10 miles in 1:52, so that was a big improvement. It helps to have friends to run with! The last mile was up hill and I did a lot of walking. Boy, was it tough! It was the longest, steepest hill of the run. I am so glad to finish it!! That extra .2 mile made this my longest run ever!
So I was looking back at my notebook and I will have to row 9 minutes and run my mile sub 9 minutes to have enough time to complete my burpees. I think I can do it!!!
Oh my goodness this WOD... I don't know what my time was 25-30 min I guess? Thank you to Bill for telling me my mile was 6:45! A new and impressive PR for me, and I could have gone faster! Woo! Double woo!
Also, a big shout out to the Carporters who were yelling at me to finish those burpees! I love y'all and I heart Carport! That's what gets you through a wod sometimes. Thank y'all! :)

i am going to call it at 30min unless u run RX then u get 30min with the # of burpees u do.
ex; run 10 row 10 10min i got 77 burpees time
or whatever coach cori says
the scale for running is walking fast so u better row and burpee faster to make the cut {oh i forgot to smile :}
RX 26.29 row 2000m-8.26 run 1mile-8.38
100 burps-9.25......I found the ducks on the pond and none of them were talking this time...just yawning.

p.s. sometimes my "running" is equivalent to a "fast" walk. :)

Rachel- if you have the option take the rowing first. It seemed to be 'more better' that way.
Hey Bill: that's a great job. Way to start your Friday morning.
there will be wave starts tonight...fastest people going first. it's not supposed to be an option to row first, so don't count on it. it depends on how the chips fall.
In that case who rows first? Slow or fast? Pay attention Rachel - this could be critical.
in an ideal world, no one would row first. it's like going to a triathlon and asking if you can bike first when everyone else swims first. problem is, with the carport tri, we only have 2 rowers. so it's part luck, part coaches mood, and part who shows up.

Ha! I was banking on the fact that you were not 100%....I need to work on my poker face.
I figured that we would be going in waves. I don't care which happens first honestly. The row's gonna hurt and the burpees are going to hurt, no matter when I do them. I hope luck be a lady tonight!:)
