how's everyone doing on the nutrition challenge? everyone is extremely quiet about it...hope that's not bad news.
i am doing well on the challenge (due to the accountability) and i'm so thankful to paul for suggesting that we do this because it has given me the push i needed to get these last few pounds off! i weighed at the gym this morning and i weighed 139.2! which is a loss of more than 5 pounds since we started the challenge! yay! i'm so happy! if the gym scale says it, it must be true! haha!
i would like everyone participating to post one of their own nutrition tips of the day! what do you do to help you stay focused? do you have any special snacks or recipes that have been helping you? post your experiences! we all can learn and help each other! less than 3 weeks to go!!!
Good for you Cori! You look awesome! If I could stay away from the cookies, I'd be in great shape. Drew is right, cookies = crack! I need to get over my sense of entitlement to them after I run several miles!
Hey, did I leave my headlamp in your car? I can't find it! I need it!
Dear fellow Carport-ers, I forgot I have canoe club meeting tonight, and I also forgot I am helping give a presentation at aforesaid meeting, so I will not be there tonight. I will be back Thursday night.
well, ALEX, you obviously are not in the nutrition challenge....sounds more like the cookie challenge, which for me, IS NOT HELPING! thanks for your input, though.
my nutrition tip since no one else will:
let's pretend you got a brand new car when you were 20. you start driving the car all over creation. you drive it around town, across the country, to a bunch of parties, and sometimes you go mudding in it! the whole time you have the car, you've maybe changed the oil once and you put the lowest grade gasoline in it you can find. youve never change the tires, you never do maintenance, you just take for granted that this dependable car is going to run forever. suddenly you have 100,000 miles on it, and low and behold, that sucker starts breaking down! first it's the tires, then it's small parts in the engine, and when it reaches 200,000 miles your transmission blows up!
well, your body is the car. how old is your car, how often do you drive it, and what do you fuel it with? it's your choice on how you want your body to run. but eventually, it will break down if you fuel it with crap and drive the sh*& out of it.
Hey Drew-HaHa-you got beat by Amber! You got served!!!
Totally kidding!
Cori-good examples on the car and body-and the nutrition challenge. One person had to be the example of what not to do-if you need tips on what foods should not be in your diet then call me.
This is a true fact-McDonalds blew away Wall Street with earnings and increased sales last quarter-so did Pfizer. Pfizer's #1 seller has been Lipitor to help reduce cholesterol which they have had a Patent on but expires this month. What is the number one seller at McDonalds? French Fries. Any connection? You pay one to kill and another save you-I'm sure Pfizer makes drugs to cure side effects from Lipitor as well!
First work out after CF 101, went ok but I know I will get better DU's are not my fav I think I got a few in the second set put together. Thanks for the help Cori & Drew!
