SKILL - Clean Drops [wmv][mov]
Clean Drops train the recieving position for the clean. With no heave, drop into the bottom of the front squat. The feet move rapidly from the jumping position to the landing position. Keep your core tight, and land as low as you can. Add weight slowly as this is primarily a footwork drill.

Props for the addition of skill work. I like it.

ed, what was your weight on your cleans? i think that factors into your score.
also, i just wanted to give a friendly reminder that if you're interested in autodraft, please see me for the sign-up form. we might have to start it next month, but it should make it a lot easier for you to pay your membership. also, if you're worried that it would be a hassle to cancel due to hearing nightmare type stories, please know that i have checked and double checked to make sure that if you want to cancel, it will become effective 2 days after you let me know you want to cancel the autodraft. the company we are using has mainly crossfit gyms as their clients, and several bham crossfit facilities also use this company.
65# - that's right I forgot about the scoring - so I guess it's 1175
Nope that doesn't make sense either. I"m seeing load/time in sec.
Is my load - 65# and then divide that by 1080?
i was wondering the same thing. i would think it would be time in seconds divided by load. maybe drew or amber will chime in.
Highest DECIMAL number winners. Sorry, should have made that more clear.
ED's SCORE
65# squat clean, 18:30
65/1110=.0585
If Ed had finished in 15min, his score would have been
65/900=.0722
or if he had squat cleaned 75lbs
75/1110=.0676
See how that works?
thanks amber! got it!
75#, 915
sub'd 1k row for run
#65 lbs power cleans, sub 1000m for run, 24:06.
65#, 16:38
my "score" was .06something or other.
Thanks, Will!
