Tuesday's Tabata circa 2008

Before we had an affiliate, we had this blog. We made occasional blog posts about the workouts we were doing. In July of 2008, we were working out at home on our carport. This is one of the workout we published that summer. I have no idea what our scores were or who did this workout with us as scores were jotted down in some long lost  training notebook. Most people shied away from training with us back then because they thought what we were doing was completely ridiculous. Its fun to look back at these old workouts and remember our journey from the carport to 1901!

Speck

12 min AMRAP of:
6 lunges, 185/125
4 Hang Power Cleans
2 Push Press

Use the heaviest load that will allow you to do Push Press reps unbroken. Post rounds and reps to comments. Wod courtesy of @HAMplan 4/29/20.

Notes from HAMplan:
A brutal barbell complex today...
• Unless an athlete is planning on taking this workout on as prescribed, then their loading will likely be determined by their ability to push press. The goal for today is for us to use the heaviest weight that allows us to complete all push press reps UNBROKEN..
• If we end up taking on a weight that causes us to break up our cleans in to singles, then we are likely at a weight that is a little too heavy for us; have athletes reduce that weight slightly.
• It is OK to break up the lunges and we imagine that they will provide a significant challenge for everyone today, regardless of the loading athletes choose.
