Sheena and Anna we missed your smiling faces this morning. I'm hoping this was a day off by choice and not forced by Mr Pukey or any of his friends ;o}.
We did learn this morning that consumption of numerous Ferrero Rocher chocolates will affect WOD numbers...although I would think if one were to complete this WOD immediately following chocolate intake it would benefit one's numbers as verified by the video clip we saw.
On the other hand we do know that is not the case with pizza and sugar cookies.
Carport.....get fit and get educated.

Okay boys/men/beasts- who wants in on the Barnyard Throwdown? Girls seem up for it, but we need some testosterone. They are teams of three.

Bill - very much a choice, my cozy bed beat out the rain & deadlifts. I probably wouldn't even have been able to play in the Rec Leagues today!

Looks interesting. Let me check our social calendar and I'll get back to you.

my absence was most definitely by choice. :)

Cynthia...I'm in for the Barnyard-although the 2pood KB will be a challenge for me.

Woo hoo Bill! - 1.5 pood will be a challenge for me. Certainly something to work on between now and then. We can get through 25 even if they are 5 at a time, or 1:)

Ahaaa.....I just noticed that per the Barnyard info page the KB swings are Russian style which means only to shoulder height-that may help some

stacey said...

Good thing the kettlebell swings are Russian and not Gangnam Style.. cuz you know.. "It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing"....

Nice! I should have looked up the Russian kbs. That is WAY better. Having 53lbs fall on my head is not on my wish list. It won't be easy, but better.

I had a major yay, Crossfit! moment today. For about 4 years I've been told I have high cholesterol especially for my age and weight. Long story short, I tried meds with no movement, tried diet alone changes with no movement and little commitment on my part too.

Well, after 3 years of no improvement...I started at the Carport and made incremental changes to improve my health overall (eating REAL food, more water, etc) and today I was told my cholesterol is not only normal but GREAT! I attribute it mainly to Carport, not only because of the exercise but it gave me the motivation to commit to the overall lifestyle changes I needed to make to see a difference.

Yay! Thank you!

Crossfit is so much better for you than Statins!
Congrats!

Great news Anna! Cha-ching bobba-bing!

Yay, Anna! that's super encouraging!!

That is GREAT Anna. After several years of elevated cholestoral and triglycerides, Jonathan's were low when he had his physical. Yay CrossFit and yay Paleo!

Anna, that is very encouraging. I am on a moderate statin dose now. My diet is clean, very low processed foods, but it did not help my cholesterol levels. My meds have helped a bit so we will see how it goes.

Anna, that is amazing!!! Congrats to you!

[p]Make sure Jordan Retro 1 you dont select this type of model 3 . So we should give our profound appreciation to eBay Auction . While they are Jordan 4 Retro feature rich they may be low priced at $74 . In addition to,my mother received me singing jordan shoes for sale

I am Air Jordan Retro 5 aware of your site that's currently working with eBay to trade Uggs exclusively with a cheaper price for the reason that website is dedicated to sell at a lower price . We also be aware that she would fit the bill air jordan release dates so an basketball shoe just like the Jordan Fusion may well not work because they are too tall for which she would normally wear . The zigzag design allows air jordan for sale air to support the athlete's movement . Additionally, they also come in all the denim colors you air jordan 2013 can think of from classical to faded . Earth shoes produce an amazing gang of air jordan 2012 loyal customers but what lots of pe.[/p]
