Thanks Paul. Good job today on that PR, especially on that course. Mile 1 was up hill. I'm not talking about a slight incline either. Saw Duff out there as well. Congrats on a strong finish.
Here is notice to everyone at the Carport. I had an eye appt. last week and my Rec-specs will be here in a couple of weeks. You got one week from the time I wear them in to get your jokes together and fire away! I mUst admit I scared myself a little when I looked in the mirror. Imagine wearing swimming goggles!!
LLong shift @ the CON. I think u have to crossfit to work long shifts double shifts. But as a whole there are not many shift workers that crossfit. thoughts from top bloggers [Cori Will]
Dave I missed u for the Tri. really want to see the "Hand ball, running crossfiting" grasses. great description (Imagine wearing swimming goggles!!)
Haha @ Dave! I had some of those a few years back when I was playing soccer. No jokes from me. They were great.
Great job Paul, Dave, and everyone else who ran today!
Drew, I would agree with crossfit making long shifts easier. Or, just working out at all, really, whatever it may be. Working out, in our case, Crossfit, makes everything better, I think. I don't have experience with shift work, but I would assume the same is true. Not only that, when I do work at something different, be it, carpentry, digging holes, etc. I don't get sore, because of Crossfit.
And, to finish off, Amber, thanks for coaching this morning! It was fun! As always.
Drew-I'll be making the Tri up. I hate I missed it. I'll be honest-I wanted to go but couldn't pull myself away from the 2 week old bundle of love on my chest last night when Cori left. WOW! I'm heading back to work Monday so wanted to some daddy/daughter time in!
Pulled 7:46 average a mile today on the run. I'm satisfied with that considering the amount of training I have been doing. 48:10 for 6.2 miles.
Has everyone set their goals for 2011? Have you discussed this with a coach and written it down? January is almost over. Mitch has exceeded his goal of 5 pull ups by month end.
Also-tell your friends and family about the gym. We still have a few spots open for Febuary CF 101.
