hey, my friend jackie is helping organize a 5K at St. Elias during their Lebanese Food Festival. Here is some info if anyone is interested. Looks awesome! How can you balk at a 5k AND a food festival all in the same day!?!?!?

"All proceeds benefit the SUKI Foundation, a not-for-profit raising awareness and funds for Rett Syndrom research. It's Saturday, April 13th and all registrants will receive a $4 coupon for use at the food festival. overall male and female winners will receive a cert for food festival plus a duffle bag from 31, a lululemon yoga mat, classes to bikram birmingham yoga, applebee's gift cards... age group winners will receive a certificate for the food festival. pretty good prizes! would love to see some carport faces out there!"

I pushed myself and ran this WOD with 65#/ toes to rings. It was heavy but I am very happy with my 109 reps. 18 power cleans and 1 toes to ring.
I am already feeling it!

Maybe next time around I will be able to run it RX. Whoop whoop.

Way to go Oatie - you rocked this. Thanks for pushing me out of my comfort zone to 65#.

I got through 21 power cleans at #75 with straight leg sit ups instead of TTB for 111 reps.

I had fun in the 5:30 pm class. It was a nice change! It was also nice to put some names with faces. I hope I can come again soon.

Ok, now that I'm thinking about things, if there was an 18 round, I skipped it. I did 15 and 15, then 21 power cleans. Oops.

That was a nice rest WOD for my poor quads! Got thru 15 then 8 power cleans @ #65 & doing toes to rings. Super proud of you Jennifer, way to kick my rear!

Way to go Jennifer! Rx is just around the corner!!! I realized this afternoon that I can't come to the gym tomorrow because we have our small group meeting and I was pretty bummed.
Then I saw the WOD and my quads twitched a little and said a little thank you prayer that we have small group! My WOD tomorrow will be stairs in some reasonable amount of time and forward instead of sideways:)
