Pack 35lbs - 3 rounds + 5....I think. I wasn't about to put a dumb bell down to grab a piece of chalk and keep track of my rounds.
Max power clean x 3 from the back rack was either 115 or 125 - more confusion.

Fantastico job on the ring dips Cynthia!! Woo wooo! I have a great little ditty ready when your first muscle ups come - should be any day now.
You and Brooke are absolutely killing it, and Sheena with those pull ups! What are you all eating?

4rd + 4 with 15# dumb bells

Push Jerk 3 rep max - 70#...that back rack business was no fun! I def need to get better at bringing the bar down that way.

I'm with you Anna on "that back rack business" -

BTW great effort Eddie and Cori on that "back rack business! That is definitely a wheel house for both of you. I was watching Eddie and not even one part hit the ground...WAY TO GO!
In the meantime ol Sean was over there quietly throwing some serious big iron!

And Sandy whupped all of us again today! Once again resorting to her standard running thru the parking lot in the dark with a weight in each hand like she just stole it but not wanting to appear suspicious gait;o}

I think I prefer playing Baccarat or even listening to Burt Bacharach songs...(The "dumbbells" keep falling on my head..)than doing anything with a back rack.
I couldn't even get the PVC pipe off my shoulders from behind. Obviously a serious mobility/strength issue for Stacey. After a minor emotional meltdown/pissy session (because afterall, there's no crying in Crossfit) I managed to work on my form and at least get the PVC above my head.

New goal established-getting the 15# bar in a back rack push jerk.

As for the WOD
20# 4+1

Apologies to Sean for having to deal with serious amounts of free range estrogen this morning! You handled it well!

This is a perfect description: her standard running thru the parking lot in the dark with a weight in each hand like she just stole it but not wanting to appear suspicious gait;o}

Well, I will join the choir. Re-racking on the back is awful and scary. I too had a bit of a meltdown this morning attempting this feat. Again, poor Sean:) I will work on it without so much weight sometime in the future. I really, really, really didn't like it. I got 105# 3 times and 115# twice post-meltdown.
The WOD wasn't so great either - Pack 3+10 HSC. I will have to repeat the mantra that mornings are good for my fitness.
It was great to work out with you Stacey and thanks for the encouragement!
Thanks for the props Bill and for that awesome description of Sandy running. I saw Sandy it and you are dead on accurate:) Many a thief have tried to leave Wal-Mart with a similar gait.

I have to remind myself every morning...CROSSFIT - whiners need not apply;0{

Yes Bill - I guess you could say my freak out was a PR which I have no plans to repeat. Fear is a doozy for me. I certainly thought to myself, "There's no crying in CrossFit!" in my best Tom Hanks (WTH) impression...

I couldn't resist---Tom Hanks!

The girls rocked this morning!!! 125# on the back rack jerk max (?? is that correct?). 3+8 on the WOD being the lone penalty burpee recipient. Thanks for the props Bill. Today was an, "Oh that's what she means!" moment for me on jerks.

Loving the back and forth commentary today! Im cracking up about the sandy comments!!!!

Everyone did great! I had big fear about barracking 135, so i had to do it just to show yall it was possible. Little did u know that my adrenaline was through the roof and i was shaking. :) way to step up to the plate guys and gals.

P.s. Unfortunately i have cried in cf. Sometimes hormones overpower logic. ;)

That would be backracking not barracking.

Now I know mine was 115 lbs. cause you went at least 10 over mine Eddie and I actually thought you went 130.

Cori said...

i thought we did 115, 125, 135....but i could've been mistaken....thought those were 5's but maybe they were 2.5's. ya'll let me know which ones they were. sorry about that!

bill said...

I was not excited about this WOD when Drew made it up but I am really glad to get that "back rack" figured out.
45-75-95-95-95-105-115
I stayed at 95 until I felt comfortable with it. The first try, I let it crash on my back - not comfy. the second time was better but the bar slipped down my back a little on one rep. The 3rd try I was able to recieve the bar correctly on all reps so I moved up. 105 felt great and so did 115. I could have kept going up but was out of time. So 115 is a 3-rep max PR for today! I'll take it!
5min AMRAP Rx - 4rds, 2 penalties
