i have a friend running the pinhoti 100 mile endurance race on nov 5. he asked me to pace him a couple of legs, which is pretty funny if you ask me...ME pacing HIM? haha! anyway, i said yes (b/c flattery gets you places with me!)...and i realized yesterday that OMG, i need to start running! so i hit ruffner yesterday and again today.
today i went for an hour and 45 min. pace was slow but 1 min faster than he wants me to pace him. it was about 6.5 miles and about 2000 feet of elevation changes total...who knew there was that much up and down right over the hill there?
i learned a couple of things today on that run. the main thing being that it's not good to run on fuel of wings and a reeses flurry from the night before. looking forward to the nutrition challenge. think i'll go ahead and start today! :)
