That was HHHHHHHEEEAAAVVVVYYY. I started to drop the weight so I could go quicker, but decided to keep chipping away at it. A bit of strength training to finish the week.
Ed and Mitch, I was so glad to see you this morning. Fine job on those double unders, fellas!!!

did my 2 burpees in my office this morning! yay burpees!

after wednesday night's wall ball ladder and last night's squat snatches, i definitely need a break. i wont' be in the gym tonight, but dave will be there coaching for me! however i must say that i think i get an excused absence, since drew and i did this wod last week ALL ALONE!

for all you slackers that avoid football fridays - GET YOUR BOOTIES IN THE GYM! you can rest on saturday and sunday!

Is this dl supposed to be close to a 1 rep max weight?

Cori said...

will - this is meant to be HEEEEAAAAVVVVVYYYYYYY. i don't know what amber's dl max is...somewhere around 280 i think i remember? for this wod, she pulled 225. so...i'd go for 75-80% of your 1 rep max, if you can't pull the rxd weight. be safe, but lift heavy. coach drew might have a different opinion, though.

Will good to have some answer seeker's on the blog today. I (Drew) was having this same conversation with amber this morning. it is around 70 to 75% of our max ( u know that females pull 70% of the Rx) (well that is what we do.)
we were comparing times and the time differences are not comparable to the % differences. I made all pulls unbroken, she broke up all her sets. there are many variables (ex. drive, group energy, coaching cues, TESTOSTERONE,) your super smart u can add to the list.

THE BOTTOM LINE IS I recover faster than she does @ this point in our life.

U run it with 70-75% and compare times

I can work with that. Thanks for the tips. Picking weight is where I struggle, knowing what percentage to shoot for. I also need to find my 1RM in everything.

9:32 @215. I haven't found my 1rm deadlift. The heaviest I've done is 265 so I bumped that up to 280 and did 75%.

WILL,that is a good time,
but was it the dead lift or the double unders? because I know it wasn't air.

It was the du's. They are getting better but after the first 2 rounds I was struggling to string them together
