  2. 150 with some pausing betwen reps. No beyonce in sight , coulda used the support Bill. All I had inside was my inner 3 year old and she was of no help at all.

  3. Worked on Beyonce'ing it up but just didn't have the moves down quite like Bill or Sandy...

    115 PR

And thanks for the new female bars! They really made a difference for me I could actually really get a good hook grip. It hurt a bit but really helps!

i wish i had used the girls bar. i think i could have done more with it, but oh well. i'll force myself to get over the bar being an odd weight, and use it next time!

  8. Anna - that competition looks ROUGH after reading just the chipper explanation. There was some discussion on facebook that Froning was going to be there. Do you know anything about that?

  9. Cynthia - I just heard about it today through a friend's FB. But based on their FB site it looks like Froning will actually be there and competing. They appear to have confirmed it several times, which is pretty cool.

It looks like an incredibly tough competition! I was just checking to see if anyone might need a cheering squad. :)

I think there is a scaled version but I just can't find the details on it - it would have to be super scaled for me to able to even stand a chance in completing any of stations.

  10. Deadlifts are not my strong suit so looking forward to working on them tonight.
Perhaps some Beyonce music at my desk will help?!?

  12. 215 PR!

I think I did 215 last time with lifting straps but today I did it without them! Yay for the "girl" bars! It was much easier to keep a grip on the barbell. (Still hurt like crazy but it didn't slip out of my fingers.)

    155-185-195-205-215 all reps touch-and-go

  13. Thanks Sandy!
Oh and yes, 150# is a PR! First time also using "girl" bar. The jury is out on this considering the only place I'm sore right now, is my hands. I'm certain it will be better for me eventually!

  14. And... Now that I'm awake, I must apologize to Coach Drew. He asked if anyone had done this before and since I didn't remember, I said no. Thanks to the date referenced archive, I see that not only have I done this before, but we had a lively conversation about it. My max back on 10/11/12 was 115.
    Today was 150.
    Yes!

It's hard to those little numbers via cell phone at 5am.. I can barely walk, much less see!

  16. Someone sent me a fb message last night, coincidentally, about filling in as a teammate at the throwdown y'all are talking about...her selling point to me was Froning being present. :) seems it's true girls. The man himself will be there...and maybe shirtless?

  19. 10-4 Cori. It looks pretty awful. Glad you will be at Open Gym!
155-165-175-185-200. 200 was my goal and I am glad I made it! Only in CrossFit can you consider icing your thumbs- yowza my grip is SHOT!
    Great job to everyone!!!
