169 total this morning - pretty much unremarkable -modified as well due to a no-brainer.
What was remarkable this morning was watching Cori as we drove up in the dark. She had just gotten out of her car and walked up to the Carport entrance and noticed the door was ajar and it was dark inside. I thought uh oh someone has broken in. Cori appeared uncertain for just a second then we could see her start to bow up and I knew she was about to go in and whup someone. Then the light came on inside and out comes Drew with a rowing machine. He doesn't know how close he came to Cori opening up a can of "Whup Arse' on him;0)
Sorry guys, I missed you all too... had a hellaciously stressful day yesterday, both personally and professionally... Was so worn out that I slept in until past 6! I needed it. I will however, run this WOD tonight, as it looks like fun! Just FYI for everyone: The 3 new cath labs and the entire pediatric cardiology floor will be opening up/going live/transferring from UAB starting Sunday. The next week for me may be "touch and go" regarding attendance, as they may need me around early... (like how i worked that aviation reference in?) Just know that my "heart" (haha cardiac reference) is with you guys!
Hello all! We have missed the Carporters, but will hopefully be back by Thursday. We went to CrossFit Maximus in Lexington while visiting friends. What we took away was that they are big and have lots of stuff, but we wouldn't trade any of it for our coaches and athletes:) I tried to represent Carport well and finished the WOD in a blazing speed and way before anyone, but realized as we left that I did it wrong:( Apparently the endless questions I ask prior to a WOD are necessary and their coach didn't understand my questions. I went and fessed up so they don't think I am a big cheater, just sort of slow. Again, I attempted to represent well and Jonathan did a great job! I did however do 5x5 power cleans with 115#. Cori - my quasi-law enforcement side cringed when I read the post about the open door and darkened gym. All the bow up in the world won't stop a .40 caliber bullet from a gun shot by a ruthless thug. You are undeniably a bad a**, but be careful! Bill, I hope you were prepared to jump in and wall ball the intruder to death!
Cynthia, You are so right. Thugs love kettle bells... they got lotsa bucks for them at the metal scrap yard. They are small, heavy(dense) and they are easy to haul off quickly.
Actually Cynthia the light inside the building wasn't on at that point so before I even got my hand on the door handle to get out of the truck I thought "they have already come and gone anyway". To be perfectly honest the very first thing that came to mind was the time Cori was ready to thump Alex's dad who called to Alex from the dark loading dock across the driveway from the Carport.
Besides we all know what a thief looks like when they are running off with Carport equipment....like Sandy with a 25 pound plate under each arm gimping as fast as she can around the block in the dark.

Unless you try hauling them off by doing kettle bell thrusters, which would be slow and make your shoulders extremely sore the next day.
I suspect it would be more TDKD
Thug Deadlift Kettlebell Drags
Ha! I love that! TDKD
